Dave Bennett, Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer of pCare, Dave Bennett leads the interactive patient systems provider’s operations, including technology, product strategy and development, and professional services. His visionary approach and extensive operational experience to patient engagement, digital and mobile technologies, and IT integration are instrumental to the continued growth and innovation of the #1-KLAS ranked pCare platform and the success of both clients and partners.
Prior to joining pCare, Dave was the executive vice president and chief operating officer at ViiMed, a digital health solution company. Before that, he was the chief innovation officer at the GetWellNetwork where he led the company’s innovation initiatives in strategy, technology, and operations for several years. He joined GetWellNetwork from StayWell, one of the nation’s largest patient engagement and health education companies, where he was executive vice president and chief technology officer.
Dave holds a certified information security manager (CISM) certificate from ISACA and is an active member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and also attended The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina.
Pat Barilla, Chief Operations Officer
As Chief Operations Officer of pCare, Pat Barilla manages day-to-day operations, leads the client services team, and ensures the highest standards of customer service and quality. He also collaborates with clients to achieve operational improvements and strategic patient engagement goals.
Prior to joining the company, Pat was Director of Operations for Sears Holding Company, where he worked with clients to establish operational objectives and policies, achieve performance improvements, and exceed departmental organizational goals. He has a degree in business.
John Orr, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
John Orr is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of pCare, where he is responsible for the company’s financial strategy and leads finance, legal, accounting, and human resources functions.
Prior to joining the company, John was Chief Financial Officer of Woodbury Health Products, a direct-to-consumer distributor of high-quality healthcare products, for five years. This role followed 13 years as Chief Financial Officer of Jobson Medical Information, a premier healthcare information and marketing services provider. John passed the CPA exam and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA in finance.
Mark Cortina, Chief Technology Officer
In his role as Chief Technology Officer of pCare, Mark Cortina is responsible for the company’s technology roadmap, leads research & development, and manages the product and application development team. Mark’s depth of experience in patient-facing systems played a pivotal role in the successful launch of the company’s mobile strategy, as well as its proficiency in integrating seamlessly with hospitals’ EHR systems.
Prior to joining the company, Mark led Equator Technologies’ IT business development efforts for large enterprise clients. He has a degree in business.
Adam Koch, Chief Performance Officer
As Chief Performance Officer for pCare, Adam Koch ensures the quality of the daily pCare interactions of over 5,000 patients. This includes overseeing pCare’s 24/7 call center, its on-site concierge team, and the Patient Experience group, which assures both patients and hospital staff get the most out of the company’s interactive communication solutions.
Adam has over 10 years of operational experience in more than 200 healthcare locations; he provides an expansive perspective on how to ensure new technology is adapted and understands how to help hospitals leverage innovative solutions to achieve their objectives. Adam has led dozens of deployments and maintained responsibility for maximizing ongoing, day-to-day satisfaction post deployment.
Prior to joining pCare, Adam served as a Principal at engineering consultancy firm Shen Milsom & Wilke, which designs technological solutions to improve the visitor experience in a variety of buildings, including hospitals. Adam earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from New York University.
