TVR Communications Welcomes Dr. Terri Ann Parnell as Chief Nursing Officer

September 14, 2016 -­- New York, NY -­- TVR Communications (“TVR”), the leading provider of Interactive Patient Systems and related services to hospitals and health systems, and the recipient of the KLAS Category Leader rating for its pCare solution (2015/2016 Best in KLAS: Software and Services Report), announced today that Dr. Terri Ann Parnell is joining the Company as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

Dr. Parnell is a nationally recognized health literacy expert, award-­-winning author, lecturer, and Principal and Founder of Health Literacy Partners LLC. Her second book, Health Literacy in Nursing: Providing Person-­-Centered Care, received an American Journal of Nursing 2015 Book of the Year Award in the category of Nursing Management and Leadership. Dr. Parnell is a member of the National Academy of Medicine Roundtable on Health Literacy and has served as a committee member on the American Nurses Association Care Coordination Quality Measures Panel. She is a Fellow in the New York Academy of Medicine and has been selected for the 2016/17 New York Academy of Medicine Fellow Ambassadors Program. Dr. Parnell will be inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing in October 2016.Dr. Parnell will apply her extensive clinical, nursing, and health literacy expertise to assist TVR Communications in advancing health equity and enhancing the patient experience.
